About the Museum:

The mission of the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame is to induct into the Hall players, teams and builders for their outstanding achievements in the sport of basketball in Manitoba as well as to preserve and showcase the rich history of basketball in Manitoba.

To meet these ends, the Hall of Fame Committee organizes and hosts Hall of Fame Induction Dinners and develops and maintains two Hall sites, an actual site and a virtual site at http://www.mbhof.com. The actual site is prominently located within the mezzanine and spectator entrance area at the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre at 400 Spence Street in Winnipeg. The central focus of the Hall of Fame is a large wall-mounted oak plaque which lists the over 100 athletes, teams and builders that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, since its inception in 1983.

Museum Events:

The MBHOFM hosts its induction dinners semi-annually, typically in late September or early October in Winnipeg, to honour its next induction class.
