About the Museum:

The Plum is Souris's oldest public building. Maintaining its original appearance with its signature plum colour and chocolate trim, the 1883 building was the former St. Luke's Church and is now an historic site. The Plum is an extraordinary 1883 church building, one of the oldest in Western Manitoba!  Within this charming historic landmark are exhibits of notable "Sourisites", collections of general historic artifacts about Souris district settlers and also their churches.  A light food service of tea, coffee, unique cool beverages and ice cream can be enjoyed while in air conditioned comfort or outdoors on the terrace. Our terrace is frequented by beautiful local peacocks and there is a nature trail to nearby Victoria Park. Bus tours are welcome and accommodated by appointment.
