About the Museum:

Flour mill originally built by Cuthbert Grant in 1829 and rebuilt in 1975. Demonstrate the milling of flour using mill stones as was done in the early days. Original mill was water powered, however, we now use an electric motor but we demonstrate how water power would have run the mill. We discuss Cuthbert Grant, first leader of the Metis nation, and the history of the fur trade.

Museum Events:

Cuthbert Grant Day - second Saturday of July highlighting Cuthbert Grant and his contribution to Manitoba heritage as well as the Metis contribution. Includes flour milling, BBQ, music, entertainment, and displays.
