"It's millin' time!"Full-sized replica of Steinbach's first windmill windpowered Windmill MS
Story
The windmill at Mennonite Heritage Village is a smock mill, with a sloping tower and a cap that rotates 360 degrees, which ensures the sails are always turned into the wind. It is a replica of Steinbach's first windmill, built in 1877. This model was built in 2001 and is the only full-sized, wind-powered, fully operative mill operating in Canada.
