About the Museum:

The Winnipeg River Heritage Museum sits on the riverbank of the Winnipeg River and has been an institution in the community since May of 1969. Today the WRHM Capital project is almost complete and will be open to the public in 2019. A refocused theme that tells a more complete story of the region follows:

Nous, les gens de la rivière!
We are the people of the river.
    anishinabek ziibiing gadoongiiawt

The new Winnipeg River Heritage Museum will provide access to the rich cultural history of the region showcasing the Winnipeg River Corridor and its surrounding communities telling the story of the people of the Winnipeg River and its importance in the development of the South East Region of Manitoba.
