June- August: Mon. - Sat. 9 - 4

Off Season Hours:
September to May: Mon.-Fri. 11-4pm, Sat 12pm-4pm. Closed all Holiday long weekends.

About the Museum:

Transcona Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the community heritage of Transcona and the surrounding Springfield district through our collections, exhibitions, and programs.  Our yearly rotating displays feature the history of the community, railroad industry, settler life, Native cultures and the natural history of the area.  The museum is located in the a historic building that originally served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municple Office.

The museum's largest artifact CN 2747, the first steam engine built in Western Canada at the Transcona Shops is on display in Rotary Heritage Park on Plessis Road, north of Kildare Avenue.
