About the Museum:
Transcona Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the community heritage of Transcona and the surrounding Springfield district through our collections, exhibitions, and programs. Our yearly rotating displays feature the history of the community, railroad industry, settler life, Native cultures and the natural history of the area. The museum is located in the a historic building that originally served as the Bank of Toronto and later the Transcona Municple Office.
The museum's largest artifact CN 2747, the first steam engine built in Western Canada at the Transcona Shops is on display in Rotary Heritage Park on Plessis Road, north of Kildare Avenue.

Small Talk Tuesdays
Join us for this new drop-in program for interested seniors, community members and heritage organizations. Enjoy a casual and lively discussion with the museum curators in the galleries. Feel free to bring a small crafting item to work on. Light refreshments are served. Tuesdays 10am-12pm. Admission by Donations. For more information see poster.
