Story

This candelabra (candleholder) represents two important aspects of the Ukrainian Catholic Church: the importance of candles, the most significant being its symbolism as the "light of Christ", and its prolific use in church and home.

The owner of this candelabra was the late Metropolitan Archbishop Maxym Hermaniuk, the first Metropolitan Archbishop to Ukrainian Catholics in Canada, after the establishment of the Ukrainian Catholic Metropolia in Canada.
