Story

This 1900s Golden Platen Printing press was used extensively for printing in the Dufferin Leader newspaper office from the early 1900s until 1975 when it was loaned to Carman Collegiate for training Industrial Arts students in the printing process.

This machine played an integral part in keeping communications open in the early 1900s. It was used to print everything from auction sale bills and funeral cards to letterhead, envelopes, and business cards.
