About the Museum:
The permanent collection is comprised of historical regional folk costumes, household textiles, kylymy (rugs), rushnyky (embroidered towels), archival items including books, postcards, letters, photographs, a collection of pysanky (eggs with drawings), and handrafted wooden items.
Mrs. Anhelina Pawlik provided the leadership in founding the Museum in 1950 and was presented with the "Prix Manitoba Award" in 1992 for contributing to the heritage sector.
Our gift shop features masks and totes which incorporate vintage embroidery, as well as books, pysanky (eggs with drawings), beeswax candles, greeting cards, ceramics, etc.
We are currently open by appointment with a new exhibit titled "Women of Influence" displaying the accomplishments of 14 Ukrainian and Ukrainian Canadian women.
