About the Museum:

The Beautiful Plains Museum is dedicated to preserving, sharing and celebrating the history and stories of area inhabitants who predated European settlement as well as those who subsequently settled in the Neepawa area. We serve the town of Neepawa and the surrounding communities as well as a diverse group of visitors from Canada and around the world. We offer tours to schools and daycares as well as offering special days/weeks such as grandparent week. The museum has also been host to events such as book launches, performances, and historical fashion shows.

The books and artifacts we have in our collection help facilitate genealogical research. Our local newspaper reaches out to us for pictures, stories and artifacts that they publish in the local paper for all to enjoy. The museum also maintains a website and social media accounts to share its collection with a wider audience. Since 1980 we have been at this location (a 1902 CN train station) and have continued to be a prominent fixture in our community.
