Lunch & Learn

The AMM offers a variety of informal Lunch & Learn events. These bite-sized learning opportunities are scheduled during the lunch hour at different times throughout the year. The format is casual - a 10 to 15-minute presentation or demonstration followed by a question and answer. Guest speakers give participants a taste of juicy and meaty hot topics such as:

  • Chimney swifts in historic buildings
  • Top 10 provincial grants
  • Understanding financial reports
  • Musetoba collections database
  • Preparing seasonal museums for winter
  • Museum security
  • Insurance
  • Charity receipts
  • Canada Helps donation platform
  • Google Workspace for non-profits

AMM members are invited to share their favourite apps:

  • Zeffy fundraising app
  • Surveys (Google Forms, Survey Monkey)
  • Tracking volunteer time using Google Forms
  • Video creation and sharing apps 
  • Canva for graphic design
