About the Museum:

The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre houses the largest collection of marine reptile fossils in Canada and features "Bruce" a 43 ft. (13 meter) long Mosasaur who was identified as the "Largest Mosasaur on Display in the World" by Guinness Book of Records.  He was the fiercest of all marine reptiles; bigger than a T-Rex and just as scary!

Discover Manitoba's Past and the monsters that lived in the Western Interior Seaway.  Come for a VIP, behind the scenes, Guided Tour and join the CFDC staff on a Fossil Dig Adventure along the beautiful Manitoba Escarpment searching for and excavating fossils on an 80 million year old sea bed.

The Association of Manitoba Museums acknowledges that we are on Treaty 1 territory and the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Metis

We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
